Who is responsible

Website visits

GitHub Pages hosts the site and Cloudflare delivers it. They may process technical request data, including your IP address, the requested URL and time, referrer, browser information, routing data, and security signals. They use this data to deliver the site, keep it reliable, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical problems.

I rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure this portfolio. I do not run dedicated visitor analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or behavioural tracking.

Email enquiries

Contact links use mailto: and open your chosen email service or app. The website has no contact form and does not receive or store a form submission. If you send an email, I and my email provider, Google/Gmail, will process your address, message, and ordinary email metadata so I can read and respond to it.

I use this information to respond to an enquiry you chose to send. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible professional relationship and, where appropriate, my legitimate interest in replying.

Cookies and browser storage

The portfolio does not set analytics or marketing cookies. Its routing framework uses session storage to remember scroll positions while you navigate in the current browser tab. That value is not used to identify or analyse you and is cleared with the tab’s session. The site does not use local storage. Cloudflare may use a strictly necessary security cookie if it presents a security challenge. Because the site does not use optional tracking, it does not show a cookie-consent banner.

Services and external links

GitHub Pages and Cloudflare support site hosting, delivery, and security. Google/Gmail is involved only if you choose to email me. Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, itch.io, publishers, and other external destinations take you to services that apply their own privacy information and terms.

Retention and international processing

I keep enquiry emails only for as long as needed to handle the conversation or related professional correspondence, unless a legal reason requires longer retention. Hosting and security providers retain technical data according to their own policies and service configuration.

GitHub, Cloudflare, and Google operate internationally and may process data outside Portugal or the European Economic Area. Their privacy policies describe where they process data and the safeguards they use for international transfers.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. Email me to make a request.
